The Restaurant
Our restaurant is inspired by and named after the hot Sirocco wind that blows from the Sahara desert over north Africa, the Mediterranean and into Europe.
Situated along the Noosa river with uninterrupted views to the beautiful river. Run by a small friendly team who all have one thing in common – we love what we do and we are passionate about food and great service.
The ambience and decor captures the warmth of the Sirocco wind, as we believe dining out is about interaction, socialising, communication and sharing. We encourage long afternoons of slow dining savouring the unique flavours and river views – glass of wine in hand of course.
Flavours are influenced by the lands in which the sirocco wind flows through. Spices used include harissa, sumac and za’atar which are married delectably with the freshest ingredients, including free range eggs and organic milk.
Great pizzas made with a Sirocco made dough recipe and a fantastic stone bed pizza oven.
Signature dishes include Classic Lamb Tagine in the winter months (served lunch and dinner), and a delicious duck tagine in the warmer months, Chachouka baked eggs (breakfast dish), Harrissa Lamb Pizza and beautifully tender Kilcoy eye fillet.
We use vine ripened tomato, free range eggs in all recipes, and organic milk as well as free range organic duck (sourced locally). |
